Why did you start your blog?
People liked hearing my stories about my life in Mexico City, so I decided to write about it.
What do you write about in your blog?
As a second generation Mexican American that moved from Dallas Texas to Mexico, I write about my life and culture shock, in Mexico City. I write about Mexico City food, art, cantinas, people and personal observations about situations I find myself in while living in Mexico City. I write about the different neighborhoods that are in Mexico City, the shopping one can find in those areas. I write about my friends visiting me in Mexico and how they get along in this new culture. I like to write about the religious holidays and to also take pictures of these events, like the day of the Virgen de Guadalupe, Dia de los Reyes, and February 2nd. I write about my visits to Mexican churches as well.
The best part of it all is I like to photograph Mexican street scenes and I post that on my blog. I also like Lucha Libre so you will find that on my blog too.
Advice
- My advice for people traveling in Mexico is be careful when eating food from the street and if you should need quick medical advice try a pharmacy such a Farmacias Similares that have medical doctors to consult for only 25 pesos.
