Why did you start your blog?
When my husband and I moved down to Mexico City, I decided a blog would be the perfect vehicle to convince my family & friends that we were alive, well, and actually *not* even remotely under daily threat of narco gunfire. :) The blog quickly turned into what I hope is a positive testimonial for anyone interested in visiting Mexico City & beyond!
What do you write about in your blog?
I blog about Mexico City, our travel experiences around Mexico in general, and unique & amusing snippets of life as a foreigner in this fascinating country. I enjoy highlighting what I consider to be "only in Mexico" experiences, as well as sharing lodging & restaurant tips that I can recommend from our trips. All of this with a dry sense of humor & perspective that can only come from being a 6'2 blonde gringa living in DF. :)
Advice
- Don't be scared of Mexico City! Amazing food, museums, and shopping make it a must-visit.
- Learn as much Spanish as you can in advance
- Eat the street food! Just visit the popular stands packed with people & you'll be fine
- You can never eat too many tacos al pastor. Or churros.
