Xcaret is located 35 miles south of the Cancun airport, and 4 miles south of Playa del Carmen. The address is: Highway Pto. Juárez - Chetumal km 282 Solidaridad, Quintana Roo.
Xcaret is open from 8:30 am to 9 pm during the winter season and from 8:30 am to 10 pm during the summer season. Xcaret is open every day of the year. There is a lot to see and do at Xcaret so if you want to take full advantage of your day and the activities offered, plan to get there early.
The basic admission fee to the Xcaret park is $69 USD for adults and $34.50 USD for children (subject to change). The basic admission fee includes access to the Park, some water activities, exhibits, and performances. You can also purchase a package that may include transportation, meals or swimming with dolphins. There is also a two-day pass available, which allows you to return to the park for half the price any day within a week of your first visit. You can get a bus to Xcaret from Cancun or Playa del Carmen. The bus from Cancun leaves from the Xcaret bus terminal at Blvd. Kukulcán Km.8.5, in the Hotel Zone. Phone: (998) 883-3143 and 883-3144. The bus from Playa del Carmen leaves from the base located near the dock at Plaza Marina Mall #41 and 42, Centro Muelle. Phone: (984) 879-3077 and 873-2643.
There are package tours that you can purchase from tour companies that will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Xcaret for the day.
When you visit Xcaret, you should wear comfortable shoes and take a bathing suit, change of clothes, a towel, and a camera. Conventional sunblock is not permitted because it can be damaging to the water ecology. You will be given a sample of 100% biodegradable sunblock on admission to Xcaret.
