Bellini Revolving Restaurant in Mexico City

Bellini is a restaurant serving Mexican and international fare. Located on the 45th floor of Mexico City's World Trade Center, this restaurant holds the Guinness World Record for the largest revolving restaurant in the world. With excellent views of Mexico City, Bellini makes a great spot for a family lunch or a romantic dinner.

The Bellini dining area is on a slowly revolving platform which completes a full revolution every hour and forty five minutes. The movement is so slow you don't usually notice it (although when you do it can feel a bit disconcerting). There are different types of seating: small square tables or plush semi-circular booths; there's also a bar area. No matter where you choose to sit, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the city, which slowly changes during your meal. With an area of over 11,000 square feet, this is the largest revolving restaurant in the world, and can accommodate some 300 diners, however the circular plan of the restaurant, and its seating arrangements make for an intimate dining experience.

Without a doubt, the main attraction at Bellini is the view, but the food doesn't disappoint. I dined with a large group at Bellini and we were offered a set meal which included soup, starter, entree and dessert. Unfortunately for me, none of the options were vegetarian, but the waiter offered me a four-cheese fettuccine, so decadently rich I could only eat a fraction of it. The menu also features seafood specialties like Canadian lobster, or you can choose the six-course degustation menu for 290 pesos. The restaurant also boasts an extensive wine menu.

Bellini offers a Sunday brunch from 9 am to 1 pm, with live entertainment.

Bellini can be an excellent option for a family meal with the kids: they'll be thrilled with the view and the novelty of a circular revolving restaurant. It's also a great spot for a romantic date night: come for the sunset and stay to see the city light up at night. If you're up for partying afterwards, head up to Skyy Bar on the 46th floor to dance the night away.
