Guide Review - Alberto's Continental - Merida Restaurant Review
Located in one of the beautiful old mansions of Merida, first constructed in the early 1700s, this restaurant boasts vintage Cuban floor tiles and a beautiful inner dining patio framed in Moorish arches. Dining rooms are elegantly furnished with museum quality furniture and objects of art. Patrons are encouraged to explore the entire restaurant. The mood is Old World, the menu eclectic. Lebanese, Yucatecan, and Italian foods are specialties. Customers may order a complete Lebanese dinner, or enjoy local, traditional dishes. The pollo pibil and fish Celestún (bass stuffed with shrimp) are always excellent choices. Relaxing over a cup of Turkish coffee and a slice of Alberto's special coconut or almond pie rounds out the evening. Main courses run between $8 and $20. The restaurant is open daily from 1 pm to 11 pm and reservations are recommended. This restaurant is in the guide books, so tourists can expect to find patrons from all over the world when dining at Alberto's Continental.
