Definition:

The dried leaves or husk of an ear of corn, is referred to in Mexico as totomoxtle. This material has several different uses: tamales are prepared by wrapping the dough in these leaves, and it is also used in Mexican handicrafts, particularly to make corn husk dolls (as pictured) and flowers.
