Here you'll find traditional coastal towns and villages, as well as beachfront resort areas with lots of tourist amenities. This is a 186 mile coastline of beautiful beaches set against a backdrop of green mountains. The area enjoys year-round average temperatures of 80°F (27°C).

Destinations in the Riviera Nayarit:

Several destinations lie along this stretch of Pacific coast:

Nuevo Vallarta is a nautical center with a yacht club and two marinas.

Cruz de Huanacaxtle was a fishing village for generations, but now this town has been modernized thanks to the construction of the Riviera Nayarit Marina.

Punta Mita is an exclusive gated resort and residential community which includes the Four Seasons, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus championship golf course and luxury residences.

Sayulita is a bohemian beach town, popular with artists and surfers. The town has a large expat population.

Rincon de Guayabitos: A small, laid-back beach town that is popular with Mexican families. This is one of our favorite secret Mexican beaches.

San Blas: A port town offering fishing and surfing. The abundance of migratory birds here makes it a great destination for birders, who will also enjoy the annual migratory bird festival held here.
