About.com Readers Choice AwardsIt's time to vote for your favorites in the 2013 About.com Readers' Choice Awards. This year there are ten different categories in Mexico Travel. You're allowed to vote once a day during the voting period. Voters are required to give their email address OR be logged-in to Facebook or About.com before casting their votes, and you'll also need to enter the two words that you see in the little box provided. This CAPTCHA program is to ensure that voters are human (not bots!) and helps to assure a fair contest for all the finalists.

The voting period will run until March 19 at 11:59 pm EST. Winners will be announced on March 27th, 2013. Cast your vote in all ten categories or just a few. You'll find the list of all the categories and finalists, with links to the polls for each category here: Readers' Choice Awards 2013: Mexico Travel Categories, or go directly to the category that interests you:

(1) Michelle says:

I was just at Xcaret on March 14th. My second visit. My first visit was 5 years ago. I do not recommend XCaret. The snorkeling rivers were dirty (like a fish tank with brown algae on the bottom and floating in the river) and no fish to view while snorkeling. We traveled in a group of 8 (two families). 6 of the 8 got food poisoning from the Mexican Buffet – still sick 3 days later. Xcaret has yet to respond to our notice of food poisoning.

(2) Xcaret Park says:

Hi Michelle, we are sorry to read that. The underground rivers at our park are meant to snorkel and explore unique rock formations and marine fossils while the inlet is the place where you can snorkel and see fishes. The underground rivers are a natural environment, that is why it may have tree leaves. We would like to know if there is an e-mail you can provide us to contact you, thanks for your comment.
