Give a Toy, Get a Smile

Wednesday December 31, 2008
Santa may have come and gone, but Mexican children are still eagerly awaiting the visit of the three kings "Los Santos Reyes," who will be bringing them gifts on January 6th, Kings Day. Unfortunately, the kings won't be visiting all the children, and some underprivileged kids won't be receiving anything at all. The Give a Toy, Get a Smile charity is trying to change that. Give a Toy, Get a Smile is a non-profit organization that distributes toys and other items to needy kids in and around Cancun, Mexico.

How you can help:
If you'll be visiting Cancun or the Riviera Maya, you can pack a toy (or several!) and take it to one of the drop-off points. There are several drop-off points, including the Hard Rock Cafe and Temptation Resort and Spa in Cancun and the EcoTulum Resorts (Cabaņas Copal, Azulik, and Zahra) in Tulum. If you won't be visiting the Cancun area, but would still like to support the cause, you can make a donation through the organization's website, Give a Toy, Get a Smile.
