June in Mexico

Friday May 30, 2008
Rainy season is starting through most of Mexico, and June 1st marks the beginning of hurricane season, but if you happen to visit Mexico during the month of June you may be pleasantly surprised. The weather tends to be particularly fine just as the season is changing.

There are a number of events taking place in June this year, including two important cultural festivals in the state of Veracruz. Xalapa hosts the Festival Junio Musical, which will present over 80 concerts from Mexican and international artists, and the port city of Veracruz will be swaying to tropical rhythms during the annual International Afrocaribbean Festival which will be held from June 10th to 15th. Read our list of Festivals and events in June for more information about these and other festivals taking place this month.
