Holy Week in Mexico

Friday March 14, 2008
Holy Week, or Semana Santa as it's called in Mexico, begins this Sunday and lasts through to the following Sunday, which is Easter. The following week is also a school holiday, so many Mexican families take advantage of the time off to travel and enjoy all the attractions their country has to offer. So if you'll be in Mexico during this time, expect crowds at beaches and tourist attractions, and make hotel and travel reservations in advance.
