HomeAway.com, a website offering vacation rentals throughout the world, has compiled a list of Top Ten Unique Vacation Rentals. Two unusual homes in Mexico made the list, one in Isla Mujeres, off the coast of Cancun, and the other in Ixtapa. The Shell House in Isla Mujeres resembles a shell with curved walls and a marine theme running throughout. It also has a private pool and gorgeous views, making it a great option for a romantic getaway. The Sand Castle in Ixtapa has a waterfall that flows through the home until it finally cascades into the swimming pool. The house is furnished with antiques and located on a cliff over Ixtapa Bay.
