Mexico's Copper Canyon

Friday July 6, 2007
The Copper Canyon, or Barrancas del Cobre, in northern Mexico, has some of the country's most spectacular scenery. Located in the state of Chihuahua, the Copper Canyon is in fact a network of canyons which together are several times larger than the Grand Canyon in Arizona. By far the best way to visit the Copper Canyon is by riding the Copper Canyon Railway, known in Mexico as "El Chepe." Have a preview of the Copper Canyon's beautiful scenery and some photos of the interior of "El Chepe," as well as a few glimpses of the Tarahumara people, one of the indigenous groups that lives within the Copper Canyon area, by viewing these photos of the Copper Canyon.
