The New Seven Wonders of the World

The original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World were chosen by Philon of Byzantium over 2000 years ago. Only one of the original wonders remains: the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. Bernard Weber, a film maker and traveler has decided it's time to choose seven new wonders, and he's inviting the general public to vote for their favorites. There are 21 finalists, and Chichen Itza, the Mayan archaeological site in the Yucatan Peninsula is one of them.
