Hurricane John threatens Mexico's Pacific coast
Wednesday August 30, 2006
While the hurricane's center is forecasted to remain offshore, strong winds and rain may affect beaches along the Pacific coast today and tomorrow. Hurricane watches and warnings are in effect, including the resort areas of Acapulco and Ixtapa and the city of Manzanillo. The hurricane's path is expected to take it out to sea below Los Cabos, Baja California.
Current information on Hurricane John and other tropical storms can be found at the US National Hurricane Center.

You know I’m kinda traumatized by all these hurricanes. I just pity the people who will be greatly affected by it. It’s just that when nature goes wild, a huge destruction is left for us to suffer.
Thanks for noticing a hurricane on the West Coast of The Americas…briefly, in your news crawl. There IS an America west of The Hudson River — the U.S. West Coast, Southwest, Hawaii and Alaska for instance — where we do care what happens in the Pacific. I’m leaving 9/20 on an 11-day honeymoon cruise to the Mexican Riviera…much as thousands of Americans plan to visit Mexico and millions depend on the flow of products from the Pacific Basin. Get a clue.
