The World's Biggest Beach Party

Cancun tourist associations are planning what they're calling the World's Biggest Beach Party on August 11, 12 and 13. Events will include beach volleyball and soccer, watersports, kite, and sandcastle competitions, concerts and the release of baby sea turtles each evening. Activities will take place along the 7.5 miles (12 km) of Cancun's white-sand beaches.

Cancun was hit by Hurricane Wilma last year in October and this celebration marks the area's recovery. Beaches have been re-sanded, hotels have been renovated and now the Caribbean's leading resort is ready to be in the spotlight once again.
