Passport will soon be required for travel to Mexico

Monday July 24, 2006
As of December 31st, 2006, U.S. travelers to Mexico by air or sea will need a passport to return to the United States. The requirement will extend to those traveling by land at the end of 2007. If you're planning to travel to Mexico you should apply for your passport well ahead of time, it can take up to 6 weeks to be issued and there may be a rush on the passport offices at the end of the year.

Apple Vacations is helping travelers cover the passport fee by offering a $100 discount for packages to Mexican resort destinations for travel in 2007. To obtain the discount, book your travel by October 31st.
